He received the B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering,
the M.S. and D.E. degrees in Information Engineering from University of
Tokyo in 1975, 1977 and 1989. He stayed in Stanford University from 1978
to 1984 as a doctoral candidate. He joined IBM Research, Tokyo Research
Laboratory as a researcher in 1984, and moved to Toho University in 2000.
He is currently a professor in Department of Information Science, Toho
University. His research interest includes distributed operating systems,
behavioral specification and verification of concurrent programs, and transport
and applications of the computer networks. His recent works include prioritized
packet transfer of multimedia and prioritized Forward Error Correction.
He is a member of ACM, IEEE, IEICE, IPSJ and JSSST.
